Life in Neuperlach, a suburb of Munich, is idyllic. It is a peaceful world where neighbors know each other and greet each other. Everyone has their own garden, garages line the small paths, and everything is well-maintained. However, the peace has been disturbed recently because refugees are supposed to move in next door. Since some people are afraid of the future noise disturbances, a noise protection device is built. “Biotop” portrays the lives of the residents and investigates the reasons behind the construction.
